Under the motto for development of ICT-based intelligent solutions to settle problems of national life in public sector, Defense & Safety ICT Research Department has concentrated on developing national-defense hyper-connected trust infrastructure, national-defense hyper-intelligent decision-making & autonomous control, national-defense hyper-realistic military drill platform, safety-management life-cycle intelligent solutions, and disaster-management life-cycle intelligent solutions.
The Defense & Safety ICT Research department conducts research and development of the following the three focus areas.
- National-defense ICT area
- Public safety intelligence area
- Industrial and private safety intelligence area
In national-defense ICT area, the research department has researched and developed a national-defense hyper-connected trust infrastructure technology , mission-oriented collaborative control technology, national-defense hyper-intelligent decision-making technology, and national-defense hyper-realistic military drill platform technology.
In public safety intelligence area, the research department has researched and developed technologies for improving the general public's abilities to respond crime incidents and disasters based on ICT based public-safety life-cycle intelligent management technology, intelligent disaster-spread prediction & response & resilience technology, context-aware public safety service technology, and crime danger prediction & response technology.
In industrial and private safety intelligence area, the research department has researched and developed technologies for private safety of workers of industrial field based on a safety management intelligence technology, industrial and private danger prediction & prevention technology, public safety management service device & application technology development for the general public, and safety information sharing & distribution standard technology.
