The Aerospace Semiconductor Strategy Research Division, a global top strategy research group under the Ministry of Science and ICT, aims to secure core semiconductor/module technologies for seven key aerospace communications, power, image, and memory sectors, and secure space heritage through radiation tolerance evaluations, space reliability tests, and two satellite installations, aiming to enter the domestic and international aerospace semiconductor markets by 2030.

To this end, we plan to secure core technologies by consolidating the capabilities of 23 institutions, including five government-funded research institutes (Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute, Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute, Korea Institute of Science and Technology, Korea Institute of Industrial Technology, and Korea Aerospace Research Institute), and to promote sequential/cyclical verification and commercialization for each detailed task.
