ETRI - SUNY Korea, to Extends ICT Cooperation
ETRI signed agreement for ICT cooperation with the SUNY Korea(State Univ. of New York in Korea), one of the most leading global universities on October 1st, 2015.

By signing the agreement, ETRI and SUNY Korea agreed to make efforts in supporting ICT start-ups, engaging joint overseas R&D projects, and developing additional collaborative programs.

The two parties will mainly cooperate with each other in exchanging human resources and promoting technology transfer in the ICT field; conducting joint education and research efforts; developing and implementing collaborative programs including supports for domestic and overseas technological start-ups; and pursuing joint overseas R&D projects.

“I will endeavor to help our students learn about ETRI’s advanced ICT by actively reflecting it in our curriculum,” stated Dr. Choon Ho Kim, President of SUNY Korea.
“I believe we can create synergy from training provided by top researchers in ETRI.”
“We are excited to build a collaborative relationship with SUNY Korea, which provides an environment for genuinely global education,” responded Dr. Heung Nam Kim, President of ETRI. “I am confident that the networks held by SUNY Korea will provide significant help to technological start-ups and identifying joint overseas R&D projects.”

The two institutions will contribute to mutual development based on the agreed terms by not only exchanging human resources through annual training, but also conducting technology exchange forums, providing joint training and research activities, and developing collaborative programs.
