Brain Nervous System Disorders, why don't we let ICT tackle the problem?
All across the globe, brain research is proactively underway. In the US, the BRAIN Initiative, which aims to draw trillions of synapses connecting 86 billion nerve cells, is ongoing. Meanwhile, the European Union (EU) has started a project titled Human Brain Project, in which 135 institutions from 25 EU member states conduct joint research on brain science. Japan is no exception. Under the Brain/MINDS project, Japanese researchers are mapping the brain of primates. It is no exaggeration to say that the globe is now in another Age of Exploration of brain research.
