Tulip Festival at O-World in Daejeon

The happiest and most beautiful time in life;
They say everyone has his day.
Unfortunately, heyday seems to fly like an arrow.

With all kinds of beautiful flowers effusing sweet fragrances,
it is high time to visit the tulip festival at O-World in Daejeon.

April, the Season of the Tulip, the Queen of the Spring

Under the warm spring sunshine, the road stretching from Zoo Land to Flower Land is covered with cherry blossoms in full bloom.
Crossing the bridge heading for the entrance, visitors are welcomed by the tulip festival’s mascot surrounded by fields of tulips.

Tulips are most beautiful in April and May when they bloom.
These shy flowers close their floral leaves in the day and widely open them during the nighttime.

Featuring a number of colors, tulips are called by different names for each color.
Red tulips are ‘Apeldoorn,’ white are ‘White Dream,’ yellow are ‘Strong Gold,’ and purple are ‘Black Jack.’
The languages of flowers vary as well;
Apeldoorn means ‘confession of love,’ White Dream ‘broken love,’
Strong Gold ‘the love that cannot be wanted,’ and Black Jack ‘eternal love.’
Inside the garden are diverse adorable tulips raising their petals to receive sunshine.

Flower Gardens Facing Flowery Breeze

After a relaxed walking through the tulip fields, you pass the festival arena
and continue toward the theme garden, which welcomes visitors all year round with beautiful flowers
with different themes for different seasons, such as Roses, the Roses of Sharon.
The flowers scattered at your feet in this garden will slow your walking a little bit as you fall into a relaxed mood.

The next stop is the greenhouse accommodating unique plants from warm countries.
Among a variety of wild flowers and rare plants, what stands out most is Livingstone daisies.
Looking like rose moss, Livingstone daisy is resistant to dry climates and likes sunshine.
This flower originated in the southern region of Africa and it means ‘hope and peace.’

Next to Livingstone daisy is hyacinth, known for its sweet scent.
A type of lily, hyacinth has a mild, fragrant scent, and white hyacinth is popular as a bouquet for brides.
In addition, a number of wild flowers and rare plants are also growing in the greenhouse.

Life is more beautiful than Flowers

Exiting the greenhouse, visitors can walk beyond the flowery hill and arrive at the resting area with pinwheels and trails.
Between the flows of the terraced waterfalls, you will feel the atmosphere of the springtime as you pass by mermaid and fish decorations.
The garden of sound, located at the end of the trail, is an experiential space where visitors experience,
both visually and aurally, the movement and sound of flowers and tree branches swaying in the wind.

The next destination is the herb garden, which houses a variety of herbs, from violet to orchids.
After a tour with flowers in the spring weather, you will arrive at the main entrance of O-World again.
Filled with an air of spring, visitors will leave this theme park intoxicated with the fragrance of the season.

Heyday of life might be “Now and Here."
Moments accrue to days and years. In this sense, life is the sum of moments.
If you simply grab this passing moment and turn it into a piece of the entire puzzle,
every slice of your life will feel like the springtime.
Living in the moment is the best way to spend the beautiful slice of your time.
It is high time to visit to O-World with your family to make special memories.
