- Is it possible to extend my contract?
- Yes, contracts can be extended two times up to a maximum of 10 years depending on your performance and the project you are involved in.
- Where is the dormitory located and what amenties are provided?
- The dorimitory is within 10 minutes walking distance from the research facility.
The room is a studio. Basic amenities are provided (internet, furniture, laundry, etc) - Can I be a permanent worker?
- Currently, there are no openings for a permanent researcher position. Please check the website for future updates.
- I am little concerned about not being able to speak Korean.
- Speaking Korean is not required but knowing/learning it will definitely help your career. We do offer Korean class for foreigners to help them settle.
- How many foreigners are in ETRI?
- About 30 to 40 employees.
- I am not in Korea. Do I have to travel to Korea for the interview step of the application process?
- For this recruitment, we are not providing travel expenses but to avoid inconvenience, we will conduct conference call interviews instead for those who are overseas
