제목 : Recent progress in 2D van der Waals material-based devices

 일시 : 2017. 4. 28(금) 오전 11:00~

 장소 : ETRI  3연구동 119 회의실

 강사 : 성균관대학교 박진홍 교수

 요약 :

Since rediscovery of graphene in 2004, it has attracted an enormous amount of interest owing to its unique structural, mechanical, electronic, and optical properties. After that, the unique properties of graphene have also triggered extensive research in other two-dimensional (2D) van der Waals (vdW) materials including transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs), particularly for various electronic and optoelectronic device applications. Especially, not only single junction but also various heterojunction devices based on 2D vdW materials have afforded novel functionality and advances in many research fields. The availability of various 2D vdW materials could allow the formation of a wide variety of heterojunctions with desired band alignments, thereby providing a powerful fabrication process platform for high-performance electronic and optoelectronic devices.

In this seminar, we introduce various promising 2D vdW material-based electronic and optoelectronic devices, which were obtained in Prof. Park’s group, including negative differential resistance (NDR) / negative differential transconductance (NDT) devices and high-responsivity photodetectors.
